Schools Renovation:Principals Commend Yobe Gov't for quality work



The principal Government day Secondary school Gashua, Musa Bulama Jawi has Impressed by the quality and standard of complete renovation of the school done by Yobe state government.

The principal expressed his mind in a separate interview during a media tour to the school led by the state NUJ Chairman Comrade Rajab Mohammed Ismail to see for themselves a kind of complete renovation done by the state government at the school.

According to the principal, renovation of the public schools attracted students and even pushing the mind of the parents to send their children to the school.

"If you see the number of enrollment this year ,at least it's far better than last year and the subsequent year".

He acknowledged the importance of providing standard and conducive learning environment as one of the criteria for quality education.


The inspected schools includes; Government higher Islamic collage Nguru,GDSS Gashua,Nigerian Turkish International College Mamudo, GGC,GSS Damaturu,GGSS Ngelzarma and Gov't Science Technical Damagum  in Yobe state.

At these schools,the media team inspected completed renovation of class rooms,administration blocks,hostels,halls laboratories and new constructed hostels respectively.

Some of the Principals of the visited schools; Usman Mohammed of higher Islamic collage Nguru, Hasibullah Jogi of Nigerian Turkish International College Mamudo and Ladi Ishaku Ghali of GGC Damaturu  appreciated Yobe state Government for the schools renovation and appealed to the government to provide them with modern equipments, perimeter fence and additional bore-hole.

On his part after going round some of the renovated schools,the state chairman Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Comrade Rajab Mohammed Ismail appreciated the effort of the state Governor Mai Mala Buni for  renovating some of the basics and secondary schools across the state.

In an interview with the Yobe SSG,Baba Mallam Wali by our correspondent on the renovated schools in the state said, Governor Mai Mala Buni's administration its trying to provide a conducive teaching and learning  environment for both students and teachers,especially in the state public secondary and primary schools in the state.
