Landlord lock down APC state secretariat in Yobe

 




The  State Secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC) in Yobe has shut down by the owner of the building (landlord) following the party's failure to pay for due annual rent.

The source further revealed that this is not the first time the party secretariat located in Damaturu, the state capital, was sealed; it also happened last year, 2023, as a result of late payment to the landlord 



A source revealed that this is coming up as a result of the negligence of the party to pay the landlord when due.


In an effort to hear from the APC state party Chairman,Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka but proved abortive.

A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
