I starts child birth spacing due to some reasons-Client

A 24-year old Fatima Ibrahim,a mother of 6 children from Katarko community of Gujba local government area of Yobe state said,she accepted family planning(Child Birth Spacing)due to the complications she is having mostly during delivery.

Fatima made this known on thursday during a visit by the family planning Media team to Katarko healthcare facility in order to see for themselve the level of compliance as well as the challenges faced by the clients while accessing the contraceptive service.


According to Fatima,the current economic hardship people are facing across the country is also among the reasons with the advised from her husband to start taking the contraceptive pills.

"The contraceptive pills are always available when ever i came to access,and there is a time I advised five women from our community to start this child birth spacing method which they have embraced on what I advised them on and even brought additional women into the contraceptive method as a result of my advised",Said Fatima.

On the other hand,Hasiya Mohammed,26 year old and mother of 5 children said,she is yet to start using contraceptive method but spaced all the births giving to her children between 2 to 2 and half years.She stressed  that it's not her own doing but from God Almighty.

"I'm not aware of anything regards to contraceptive method.I have not used to it and have never once been tought about it.

"I will convince my husband to start this contraceptive method since we have five children already", said Hasiya.

Going further,the family planning media team have conversations with one of the family planning service provider at the Katarko healthcare facility,Buntu Bilal who revealed that,women at Katarko community are patronizing the child birth spacing at the facility.

She stated that,as service provider,they used to advised the clients on the importance attached to the child birth spacing method. 

" Some times we received complaints on some of the complications after taking the pills and advised the clients to always takes their medication on exact time.

Bintu further noted that,the health facility do received 6 to 7 clients in a week coming to access the contraceptive method.Also something engaged the women at health talk during ANC on the importance of Childbirth Spacing Among other services.

Ignore strike notice,it's fake- Yobe NLC declares

In a statement by the state NLC Chairman,Comrade Muktari Musa Tarbutu,said the fake news/circular is entirely false and without any basis.
