Gulani Chairman sympathises with Garin Tuwo fire victims

Gulani Local Government Chairman, Alh. Dayyabu Ilu Njibulwa has sympathised with the people of Garin Tuwo over the recent fire incident that claimed life last night Monday 4th November 2924. 

In a statement by the Chief information officer Gulani LGA,Ali Abdullahi Shishiwaji revealed that,the incident occurred at about 11.36pm in the village and the fire spread rapidly destroying many locally made huts for Almajiri in Tsangaya school.

The Chairman sympathised with the victims and promised to set up a committee to investigate the root course of the fire incident. 

He expressed dismay that the incident claimed a live praying God Almighty to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest and the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
