SWAN elects new leaders in Yobe

The Yobe State Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN),has on Wednesday elects new executive to run the affairs of the association for the next three years.

The election took place at the 27th August stadium,along Maiduguri road,Damaturu Yobe state.

Joel Duku of the Nation newspaper was elected  Chairman.




Others are,Yusuf Bukar Biriri of Yobe State Radio(YBC)  emerged Vice chairman,while Mustapha Yusuf Musa of (NTA) is the  Secretary.

Also Penina Jeje Ali of Yobe Radio(YBC) was elected  Treasurer, Michael Oshomah of TVC NEWS emerged  Financial Secretary, Mohammed Rabiu Biriri of State Television(YTV) is the Welfare Officer  and  Idriss Yunusa Bingel of State Radio(YBC)was elected Assistant Secretary.

The election was supervised by the SWAN Vice President North East Zone,Comrade Ahmed Kagana Amshi.

Those who witnessed the election includes; the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Sports Mohammed M. Balumi, State Director of Sports Dr.AbdulRaham Ago, and other Directors in the Sports Council among other distinguished personalities that grace the election.
