Maulud:Mohammed Gadaka sues for peace,harmony

The All progressives Congress APC party chairman in Yobe State,Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka   has enjoined Muslims to use the Maulud celebration to promote the fear of God, peace,harmony and honesty as exemplified by the teachings and traditions of Prophet Muhammad.

The party chairman in a goodwill message to this year’s Maulud celebration noted that the Prophet of Islam not only lived an exemplary life, but also preached peace, honesty and unity to his followers.

Gadaka, in a press statement signed by his press secretary,Hajiya Sa'adatu Maina,Gadaka appealed for sober reflection and self-evaluation among the Muslims with a view to understand how they relate with their creator and other human beings during the past year so as to make amend.

He further appealed to the people to offer special prayers for peace to reign in the state and the nation in general in the face of the current security challenges in parts of the country.

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  As part of its ongoing mission to support education, the Madakin Gudi Foundation has cleared five months’ stipends for 167 volunteer teachers across twenty-one schools in the Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State. A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
