Buni Charges Cabinet Members On Quality Service Delivery
The executive council meeting,held at the Council Chambers of the Government House, Damaturu, was attended by all the state executive members.
Briefing journalist on the outcome of the meeting,commissioner,Ministry for Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Alhaji Abdullahi Bego, revealed that Governor Mai Mala Buni urged all members of the council to invest in the task of moving the state forward.
Bego stated that over the last four years in the state, Governor Mai Mala Buni has done significantly well in all the areas of human development which includes water supply, roads development, health care delivery, infrastructure, provision of humanitarian services, youth empowerment and support to agriculture in the state.
He stated that Governor Buni underscored the need for the executive council members to work together as a team to sustain government’s efforts in the last four years and to also build on them.
Mr. Bego further revealed that during the meeting, governor Buni told the council that all the ongoing projects carried out in the state should be completed and commissioned before starting new projects.
“Yobe state government would pay attention on the provision of palliatives to the people across the state in view of the removal of fuel subsidy in the country.
“His Excellency is committed to provide support to the people across the state, he is ready to complete all the ongoing projects and to commission them before initiating new projects,” said the information commissioner.
He further said that, Governor Buni at the council meeting made a special utterance to the progress of the health care sector in the state.
According to the information Commissioner,Governor Buni was during the meeting also confirmed the appointment of the Secretary to the Yobe State Government,Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali as substantive (SSG) to Yobe State Government and confirmed the appointment,Alhaji Abdullahi Yusuf Gashua as substantive Chief of Staff(CoS) to the state governor respectively.
