Maulud: Gov. Buni Sues for Peace, Love,Sacrifice

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has congratulated Muslims across the World on the birthday anniversary of the Holy Prophet,  Muhammad (SAW).

He described the anniversary as a moment of sober reflection and an occasion of love, peace and sacrifice.

As Muslims it is a privilege to witness this great day, we should use it in promoting the virtues and ideals of the Holy Prophet (SAW).

"We should all live by the exemplary life and teachings of the Holy Prophet,  Muhammad (SAW).

"We should endeavour to make sacrifices and be our brothers keepers at this trying moment in our nation's history" Governor Buni said.

The Governor further called on the Muslim Community to promote peace and peaceful coexistence with both Muslims and non Muslims. 

"Let us use the occasion to spread love, sacrifice and support to the less privileged persons who are in need of support as it was the moral character of our beloved prophet((SAW). 

"Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was a messenger of peace, who enjoined us to live in peace. We must therefore emulate his life and spread his teachings in our relationship with each other" the governor advised.

Buni prayed for peaceful celebration with a hope that the occasion will usher in peace, love and forgiveness.

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  As part of its ongoing mission to support education, the Madakin Gudi Foundation has cleared five months’ stipends for 167 volunteer teachers across twenty-one schools in the Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State. A team from the Foundation mandated to carry out the payment set out in the early hours of Wednesday, 11th March 2026, visiting each of the 21 schools for the exercise.  The team first visited the Chana community and later proceeded to Godowoli and other villages, ending the exercise in Gadaka. Three volunteers in each of the schools were given the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira to cover their monthly stipends. Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale. Project Coordinator Adama Hussaini Madaki said the market would strengthen livestock trade and improve revenue generation. Yobe APC Exco Receive National Party Chairman Ganduje
