Madakin Gudi Foundation Reaches Tarmuwa for Free Diagnosis

Yusuf, Damaturu A medical team from the Madakin Gudi Foundation visited Babban Gida Town in Tarmuwa Local Government Area to provide free diagnosis, treatment, and medication to vulnerable individuals.   This initiative is part of a continued medical outreach launched by the foundation two months ago, aimed at reaching all corners of Yobe State.   Led by Project Coordinator Malam Hassan Kaku Hassan, the team extended their efforts to Babban Gida Town, where hundreds of patients were diagnosed and provided with appropriate medications.    Prior to the outreach, the team visited the palace of the Emir of Jajere, Alhaji Mai Hamza Ibn Isah Buba Mashio, to seek his blessing.   At Babban Gida, the headquarters of Tarmuwa Local Government Council, the team was received by the Vice Chairman of the Council, Hajja Budu Lawan, on behalf of Chairman Muhammad Lamido Musa.   From the local government secretariat, th...

Concern Group Calls for Repairs on Damaged Kano-Maiduguri Highway

Yusuf, Damaturu A concern group in Yobe state on Wednesday called on relevant authorities to repair the federal highway connecting Kano to Maiduguri, particularly the section between Malori and Guskuri villages that sustained severe damage during last year's rainy season. Several local government areas in Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, and Borno states were also affected during last year's rainy season. All stakeholders from the affected states should join hands to ensure that the damaged sections are repaired before this year's rainy season. Collaborative efforts, timely interventions, and necessary resources must be mobilized to prevent further damage and safeguard the well-being of the people. Yobe launches free meals distribution for Ramadan Iftar to Tsangaya schools

Yusuf The Yobe state government, through the Arabic and Islamic Education Board, on Friday launched the distribution of free Ramadan Iftar meals to Tsangaya schools across Damaturu, the state capital.   While briefing journalists in his office in Damaturu, the Executive Secretary of the Arabic and Islamic Education Board, Umar Abubakar, said three Tsangaya schools were being targeted daily, with each school accommodating between 150 and 300 Almajiri students.   He said the initiative aimed to alleviate the hardships faced by Almajiri students during the holy month of Ramadan, particularly amid the economic challenges in the country.   Abubakar revealed that the free Ramadan meals included jollof rice with beef, watermelon, and porridge, which are individually packaged for each student.   In addition, the executive secretary noted that the board had purchased clothes, shoes, and other Sallah material...
