Yobe Youth holds Symposium on Peaceful Coexistence

  

In an effort to equips youth with confidence, inspiration,and empowerment to thrive,the office of the Special Adviser toYobe state Governor,Mai Mala Buni on Youth Affairs,Hashimu Nuhu Hashimu has on Monday organized a one day Youth general meeting and Symposium in the state.

Speaking at the occasion,Yobe state  Commissioner for Youth,Sport and Social development who is the Chairman of the occasion said,the all youth stakeholders general meeting and Symposium is a giant initiative and bold attempt to address challenges threatening the very foundation of the state unity.

Barma stated that,the theme of the symposium which focus on the "Youth as critical stakeholders in maintaining peaceful Coexistence,"is indeed apt and accurate.

"Youth are the heart beat of every society.we seen you the youth not just at a time of life but much more as a state of minds.Ours is to encourage you to continue to be a role model for the society.

He charged the youth in the state to support all the policies and programme of Governor Mai Mala Buni as its maintained special place and attention for the youth.

Earlier in his welcome address,the Special Adviser to Governor Mai Mala Buni on Youth,Hon.Hashimu Nuhu Hashimu Said,the symposium is organized with the aimed to sensitise,educates and enlightened Yobe youths for a better tomorrow.

"We have different speakers who are to dwells on different topic such as,peace and conflict resolution, leadership and leaders and role of youths in the society".

On his part,Yobe state Commissioner of Police,CP Garba Ahmed,represented by the command public relations Officer,(PPRO) Dungus Abdulkarim said,in a state like Yobe happened to be one of the state in the fight against insurgency there is need for the Youths to re-think on the ongoing plan to the nationwide protest.

"We are not stopping any one,but we want to in form all of the youths in the state if they really want to stage in to the protest, they should feel free and come to the police headquarters to signed,have their contact address, numbers of people to participate in their protest group, route to follow during the protest so as to be able to provide them with enough security",said the Yobe CP.
