FG,Yobe launch construction of 250 Renewed Hope estate in Damaturu

The Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development in partnership with Yobe state Government has on Friday held a groundbreaking for the  commencement of construction of 250 units of Renewed Hope Housing Estate Project in Damaturu.  Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state while inaugurating the housing project commended the initiative by the federal Government,described it as a driver of economic growth and social development.  The Governor appreciated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his commitment to address the housing deficit and provide nigerians with decent accomodations especially in the state like Yobe that suffered decade long security challenges. He revealed that Yobe state has suffered over ten years of insurgency that resulted to the distraction of public and private properties including houses and displacement of thousands of people. Sector 2 Commander NE-OPHK lauds Yobe Journalists efforts

The Yobe state Head of service, Hamidu M.Alhaji has on tuesday have a meeting with all director human resource management (DHRM)across the state ministries, departments and Agencies towards having a comprehensive state's personnel data base. Speaking during the meeting at the civil service union Conference Hall in Damaturu,Hamidu Alhaji said,the state need to have a personnel data base in the office of the head of service while the director human resource management(DHRMS )are the key persons to play a significance role on that aspect. The HoS stated that,they have called on all the DHRMs for the meeting in order to brief them on how to go about the personnel data base process in the state. "This meeting is mainly called for one very important purpose,that is the issue of personnel data base.The office of the head of service suppose to have custody of the data base of all the personnel in the state, unfortunately this is not the case,we only relayed on personnel pa...

Yobe:Over 3000 Civil servants take 2024 promotion Exams

The Yobe State Head of Service(HoS) Hamidu M.Alhaji said,over 3,000 civil servants sat for the 2024 promotion examination in Damaturu, Potiskum and Gashua centres in the state. Hamidu made this known in Damaturu while supervising the conduct of the examination held at Government Girls College,(GGC)Damaturu. The HoS said the purpose of the examination was to enhance productivity and efficiency in civil service as well as to acquaint civil servants with government policies and programmes. The state lead and focal person for project trust in Yobe, Mu’azu Alhaji Modu, said the project is part of CODE effort to build trust between the government and the citizens. He stated that project started in 2021 in Kaduna state where it yielded positive results around how citizens can be able to nominate a project and tract a project on their own while bringing in stakeholders. NDE trains 20 Yobe youth on GSM repairs, tailoring

by Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The National Directorate of Employment (NDE)Yobe state office has on Wednesday commenced the orientation and training exercise for 20 unemployed youth under Basic National Open Apprenticeship Scheme (B-NOAS) in Yobe state. The Director  General of the NDE, Mallam Abubakar Fikpo,  said the exercise under the Vocational Skills Development (VSD) Department was meant to enable the Youth to be labour employers and self-reliant. Represented by the Acting state Coordinator NDE Yobe state, Hajiya Binta Aliyu, Fikpo stated that the youth would be trained on GSM repairs and  fashion design (tailoring skills) respectively. NEYIF partners Yobe to establish justice referral center

The executive director,NEYIF,Dauda Muhammad Gombe,made this known Wednesday at the 3-day inception training for its project staff on strengthening the resilience and reintegration of children formally associated with Non-State Armed Groups(NSAGS)and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC)in the state. The governor, who was on an unscheduled visit to the projects, said he was there to see the quality and pace of work on the projects. He said the road projects were initiated to improve transportation of goods and services for the socio-economic development of the communities. Gov.Buni assures security agencies of more support

Yobe State Governor,  Mai Mala Buni has assured more support to security operatives in the state to enhance their performance for a secured Yobe state.  Buni gave the assurance in his office Friday in Damaturu when presented with an award won by the "Operation Haba Maza" security outfit as the best Police patrol outfit in Nigeria, by the Nigeria Police Force. Governor Buni established Operation Haba Maza in 2020 as an emergency support to the conventional security agencies in the state. He said the head of the outfit CSP Muhammad S. Shehu, was carefully selected to ensure delivery. "I am never disappointed, Shehu has done us proud by living up to our expectations and winning this award." All land vendors to register with YOGIS-Buni

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has ordered all land vendors to register with the Yobe State Geographic Information Service (YOGIS) before operating in the state. Governor Buni gave the directive on Thursday in Damaturu while inaugurating the New Digital Process on Land Administration and Management. He said the registration would aid record keeping and address the menace of land grabbing and racketeering.  The Governor revealed that all fueling stations, hotels, bakeries, water factories, private schools, corner shops, among others, must settle dues they owed the state to continue operations.  He noted that the introduction of the digital process would enhance land management and administration’s effective service delivery in line with global best practice.
