Yobe Gov't ,NLC agree on N70,000 minimum wage

Yusuf The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Yobe state Council, on Friday signed an agreement on the implementation of the new national minimum wage of N70, 000, with the Yobe state government. Officials in attendance when the agreement was signed were the head of civil service, represented by the permanent secretary (public service); permanent secretary (establishment), and the state accountant-general. Others were the state chairman of the NLC, Comrade Muktar Musa Tarbutu; chairman, Trade Union Congress (TUC), Bulama Musa, and the chairman, Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE),Baba Shehu Mustapha. The Secretary to Yobe State Government, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, who is the chairman of the N70, 000 Minimum Wage Committee, said after several meetings with the Yobe NLC, the Committee made a recommendation to Governor Mai Mala Buni.
