Yobe Gov't Begin 2025 Budget Bilateral Discussion

Yobe state governor Mai Mala Buni has directed  the state ministries, departments and agencies to completes all the ongoing projects before the first quarter of the year 2025.

The Governor made the directive on Monday while declared opened the 2025 budget bilateral discussion in the state took place at the Governor's office in Damaturu.

Buni was represented by the Secretary to Yobe state government,Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali,Buni revealed that,this is very important decision as the government of the state has the intention to settle all liabilities in the 2024 fiscal year before entering into the new submission.


He said,"Ministries, Departments and Agencies should collaborate actively with the state ministry of budget and economic planning to ensure that every important part of their projects are fully captured in 2025 budget".

"This Budget bilateral discussion its an opportunity to collectively shape the future of our state by ensuring that our resources are allocated in ways that best needs an aspiration to our people.

"The responsibilities that we all share to day requires careful thought,collaboration and commitment to the principle of fiscal discipline, transparency and accountability",said, Gov.Buni.

He encouraged all MDAs in the state that the priority identify during the recent citizens engagement and consultation in the state to reflects appropriate captured in their 2025 budget proposal.
