Yobe Gov't donates N30m to 128 families of slain in Mafa

Yobe State Government has on Wednesday commenced the  disbursement of the sum of thirty Million Naira(30,000,000)cash support to 128 families of 34 slain and injured persons by Boko Haram in Mafa Village of Tarmuwa local Government area of the state.

The cash support was shared through a 15- man Committee led by it Chairman and Adviser to Governor Mai Mala Buni on higher education,Alhaji Mala Musti described the attack as unfortunate and dastardly.

The higher education Adviser stated that,Governor Buni constituted the 15-man committee after the burial of the 34 members of Mafa Community killed recently by Boko Haram Insurgents.

He thanked the Governor for giving out the sum of the N30 Million and all other well-wishers that supported him for giving various amount of money for the affected families.

"Presently we are taking care of those injured at the hospital and with this money at least it will cushion the hardship that the slain families, displaced and those sustained injuries in.

"The 128 members of the families killed by Boko Haram and  injured,each received the sum of N230,000 thousand naira,said the committee Chairman,Mala Musti.

Two of the families of the slain and injured by the insurgents from Mafa Village, Aisha Danbade and Mustapha Mohammed,thanked Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni for the cash support calling on him to improve the security situation of their community.
