NAHCON allocates 1,288 Hajj seats to Yobe State for 2025 pilgrimage

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria,(NAHCON)has been allocated a total of 1,288 seats to Yobe State for the 2025 holy pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
The Executive Chairman,Yobe state pilgrims commission,Alhaji Mai Aliyu Usman made this known on Friday while briefing journalists on the 2025 Hajj exercise in the state.
He said,the Commission has recently held a meeting with its management,staff and fair collectors from across the 17 local government areas where they announced the allocation of seats given to the state.
Mai Aliyu stated that, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) had told them that,they may probably get more if the situation warrant ,but as of now they were giving 1,288 number of 2025 hajj seats for Yobe state.
He revealed that,they have distributed the seats according to the plan of the Commission in the State."That is why we meets with the fair collectors in the 17 LGA as well as the fair collectors in the headquarters.
"We have a rollover of about 180 for those who paid but couldn't make it in 2024 Hajj exercise,now we are going to roll them over and automatically they have seats as their money is with us.Those who wanted their money to be refund to them we told them that,we are waiting for NAHCON because we have already send them the money where they do all the activities before giving us the money back",said Mai Aliyu.
He further noted that,the cost of the seat for the 2025 Hajj is now stand for,eight Million,five hundred thousand naira(N8,500,000) adding that, this is what they have been asked to announce by NAHCON.
"In our own level, who so ever is interesting for the 2025 Hajj,let him start paying as we will receive any amount of money from any Hujjaj of Yobe state,but let him know the target is N8,500,000, and it may come down and it may also go up ,we don't know for now as it happened last year 2024",said the pilgrims Commission boss.
