Machina residents hail Buni over water project,Sesame factory

A ground breaking record has made by Governor Mai Mala Buni for awarding a millennium project to Damuli Investment Company Limited to provide Solar powered water system within the area. Damuli Investment Company Limited under it's managing Director,Liman Alhaji Dabuwa has high level of technical knowledge and skills to accomplish the project make it happened by providing Soler powered water system in Mafidu village 7.5km away from Machina town. The Resident Electoral Commissioner(REC) Yobe state,Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi made this known Tuesday while briefing journalists on the level of preparations for the 3th February 2024 bye and re-run election for Yobe East and Fika/Fune federal constituency. Abdullahi said,five(5) political parties are fielding candidates for Yobe East Senatorial bye election in the state which are;ADC,APC APGA,NNPP and PDP while campaigns are presently going on by these parties and by law campaign are to stop 24 hours to the day of election that is 1st February 2024. Yobe:Fire guts Bayan Tasha market, destroys over 30 shops

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu An inferno destroyed not fewer than 30 shops at a popular Abasha Market in Damaturu,Yobe State capital in an early morning on Tuesday. In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),Yobe State Police Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim and made available to newsmen in damaturu. The statement revealed that, the incident happened around 0623 hours while, a distress call was received that a fire inferno had engulfed some shops at Abasha Ward,Damaturu. The statement further said that, action was quickly mobilized where the fire was finally controlled. He noted that"Over 30 shops were completely burnt,no life was lost nor injury sustained. The course of the inferno has not been ascertained at the time of writing this report.

NEDC to holds inter-sch sports competition in North-East

The Project Consultant,Alh. Gambo Mamman, who was a former Director of Sports, explained that the event will be held concurrently across the six states in the North East region. The finals of the tournament will be held in Bauchi State, where winners from each state will compete in all the events. The sports events included in the tournament are football, athletics, basketball, volleyball, and table tennis. The competition will take place at both the state and zonal levels.
