Maulud:Mohammed Gadaka sues for peace,harmony

The party chairman in a goodwill message to this year’s Maulud celebration noted that the Prophet of Islam not only lived an exemplary life, but also preached peace, honesty and unity to his followers. Buni ,said he visited the Minister to discuss areas of cooperation to strengthen security in the state. He noted that, security has greatly improved across the state but, will exploit all available opportunities to be proactive in handling security situation in the state. NEDC donates food,non food items to groups,Institutions in Yobe

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu To cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal, North-East Development Commission (NEDC) Monday donated 2,080 bags of rice to 20 organisations and tertiary institutions in Yobe state. Other items donated by NEDC include 2,090 cartons of macaroni, vegetable oil, women wrappers, men and children wears,mats and blankets respectively. On his remarks at the symbolic presentation of the donated food and non food items in Damaturu, the NEDC coordinator in Yobe state, Dr. Ali Ibrahim Abbas, said President Ahmed Bola Tinubu directed that palliatives should be provided to all indigenous people of Nigeria because of the removal of fuel subsidy in the country. KACRAN decries over illegal land allocations by AMAC

The State Chairman of IPAC, Comrade Bala Mohammed, made the called Tuesday  while briefing journalist  in Damaturu, the state capital,saying the commission should fix a new date after the harvesting period. Comrade Mohammed stated that, 17 undersigned state chairmen of the various political parties, want the state electoral commission to shift the proposed election for obvious reasons to allow the electorate to actively participate in the exercise. He said "the reasons is that the rainy season came in very late, saying the rain has intensified with people heavily engaged in farming activities, thus, farmers should be allowed to farm till dry season". COAS in Yobe,charges troops to avoid distractions,remain disciplined

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja arrived Damaturu the Yobe state capital Saturday where he was briefed by the Commander Sector 2, Maj Gen Lander Saraso, on the security situation in Yobe state and ongoing clearance operations code named "Operation Desert Sanity" to rid the Timbuktu Triangle of insurgents.  The visit was part of the COAS operational tour of the North East theatre of operations in the country.  Lieutenant General Lagbaja was also briefed on the Nigerian Army Special Forces School by the Commandant, Brigadier General Wara Bello Idris.
