Yobe SUBEB,YSU train 30 Basic School Teachers on proficiency

  The Centre for Continuing Education, Yobe State University in collaboration with Yobe State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) with support with The Leggatt Trust Educational Charity, a non governmental organization based in the UK, has organized a 3-Day Teacher Proficiency Strengthening Workshop on Learner-Friendly Pedagogy in Reading, Writing and and Numeracy (Only-the-NUMBERS-Count). Speaking while declaring the workshop opened,the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Mala Mohammed Daura, said the university is passionate about the training so as to complement the efforts of Yobe State Government on the Declaration of 'State of Emergency' on Education by Hon. KACRAN urges calm, warns against violent protests

Biomedical Science Research and Training Center of Yobe state University in partnership with the office of the honourary Adviser on science,Research and Innovation has organized a 2024 Summer school workshop in Damaturu. The workshop covered topics on artificial intelligence, teaching tools,bioimaging in malaria research, bioimaging in neuroscience research as well as innovation display and award respectively. Yobe:CoP tracks N200m staff quarters project in Gashua

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Community of Practice (CoP) led by its team leader visited Azbak community to oversee the ongoing construction of Junior and Senior Staff Quarters at Government Science and Technical College (GSTC) Gashua, Bade Local Government area of Yobe state. The visit to communities was aimed at deepening accountability, enhancing social inclusion system and promoting resilience and sustainability in governance across Nigeria. Upon their arrival, the team met with the school principal to discuss the project. The principal, Mallam Musa Ali, expressed surprise about the 2023 construction allocation for Yobe North Constituency, saying there had been no government projects at the school since 2018. The principal highlighted ongoing efforts to secure government support for classroom and hostel renovations, as well as the construction of staff quarters. 5,340 farmers to benefit from Mega Agricultural Scheme in Yobe

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  As part of the efforts to boost agricultural activities and enhance food security in the state,President Ahmed Bola Tinubu  has on Saturday launched a Multi -billion naira agricultural empowerment scheme in Yobe state. The agricultural empowerment scheme initiated by Governor Mai Mala Buni distributed to 30 farmers in each of the 178 electoral wards of the State making a total of 5,340 farmers to benefit from the scheme.Except for the tractors and fertilizer, all the other agricultural equipment and inputs are to be given out free to the large scale, medium and subsistence farmers. Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has on Thursday sworn-in the newly appointed Head of Service,two Commissioners,four Permanent Secretaries, and 28 Special Advisers for effective service delivery in the state. Shortly after the sworn in of the new Head of Service,Hamidu M. Alhaji, Governor Buni said,the state is losing experienced hands to retirement,he should cultivate a new effective and efficient workforce to serve the  people of the state. Gadaka Condoles With Fika Chairman over wife's Death

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The State Chairman All Progressive Congress (APC) in Yobe state,Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka has Condoled With the Chairman of Fika Local Government Area,Alhaji Audu Bukar Gadaka over the demise of his wife,Hajiya zainab madi Bukar Gadaka. The deceased Hajiya zainab madi Bukar Gadaka died at the potiskum general hospital after a brief illness. In a statement by the Secretary to Yobe State APC Chairman,Hajiya Sa'adatu Maina,Gadaka describes the death of Zainab Madi as a great loss not only to Fika LGA but the entire Yobe state. “Verily,we belong to Allah and to Him we shall return.On behalf of State APC Executive have joined the family of the Fika LGA Chairman in mourning the passing away of his wife, Zainab Madi Bukar Gadaka.” The statement adds that the deceased left a legacy of compassion,humanity and will be remembered for her service to the community during her lifetime. The deceased has since been buried in Gadaka according to Islamic rights.
