Yobe Immigration Comptroller Kallamu pulls out of Service

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu The Nigeria Immigration Service Yobe State Command has on Wednesday organized an event in honor of its Comptroller, Mohammed Tahir Kallamu  who went on retirement at the aged of sixty (60)  after successful thirty three (33) years of service. Mohammed Kallamu while addressing the gathering,charged the Officers and men of the service to always demonstrate acts of patriotism in the discharge of their duties. He said ,they should must always subject to service rules, irrespective of the beats they were deployed to serve. The outgoing comptroller expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for sparing his life to witness his retirement after serving for 33 years  in the service. He commended Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni for the support giving to him during his stay as a comptroller of Nigeria Immigration service in Yobe state. NEDC donates starter packs to 558 youths empower in Yobe

by  Yusuf A Yusuf North East Development Commission (NEDC) has Friday handed over stater packs to 45 Yobe youths from the 17 LGA of the state trained on fabrication of energy efficient stove, briquette/charcoal production and Soler power installation State Coordinator NEDC in Yobe, Prof.Ibrahim Ali Abbas, said the empowerment training which was conducted recently targeted and reached out 558 beneficiaries. He revealed that,”The current batched that we have is 20 beneficiaries that attended the training in Damaturu on briquette and charcoal production,20 in Maiduguri trained on Solar installation and repair and 5 trained in Bauchi respectively. “We are here to day with all the 45 beneficiaries to take delivery of these items that was supported to them by the north east development commission,” he said. By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Yobe State, Governor  Mai Mala Buni has approved the constitution of an ten-man committee on the new National Minimum wage recently approved by the federal government. The ten-man Committee to be the chaired by the Secretary to the State Government has the state Head of the Civil Service as Co- Chair while the remaining will serve as members. The members of the committee includes the Commissioner of Finance, Alh. Mohammed Abatcha Geidam, Budget and Economic planning Alh. Garba Gagiyo, Local Govt and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Jajere FCNA, and the State Accountant General. Others are Chairman Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Mukhtar Musa Tarabutu and TUC Bulama Musa while the Perm Sec Establishment Shuaibu Ibrahim Amshi and that of Public Service Office of the Head of Service Alh Dr.Bukar Kilo mni will serve as secretary and co-secretary respectively. The sports events include football, athletics,table tennis,and lawn tennis,scheduled to take place from October 22 to 27, 2024,at the 27th August Stadium in Damaturu. The Governor made the directive on Monday while declared opened the 2025 budget bilateral discussion in the state took place at the Governor's office in Damaturu. Declaring the retreat and validation workshop opened,Yobe State Head of Service, Hamidu M. Alhaji said, Governor  Mai Mala Buni  remained resolute to ensuring efficiency in the civil service. The Executive Secretary Yobe State Primary Healthcare Board, Dr Babaga Kundi Machina, underscored the importance of the exercise while speaking to journalists on Tuesday in Kano.
