YSCHMA holds meeting with enrollees to improve services

In an effort to ensure effective and efficient service delivery in achieving Universal Health Care Coverage in the state,Yobe Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA)has organized a one day town hall meeting with it's enrolees as well as stakeholders across the 3 zones of the State .

The meeting is a step taking by the agency towards providing wider sensitization and engagement of beneficiaries of the scheme to understand the roles of all stakeholders involved including YSCHMA, health facilities and beneficiaries.

Declaring the meeting opened,Yobe state Commissioner of health and human services represented by the director planing research and statistics ,Dr Musa Sarki said,the meeting is aimed at ensuring deeper understanding about the scheme and also stand as a mechanism to receive feedback from the individual's beneficiaries of the scheme in order to bridge existing gaps.

Briefing journalists at the meeting,the Executive Secretary,Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA)Dr Babagana Tijjani revealed that,the agency has recently review it's benefit package operational guidelines and service tariff for the state enrolees to benefit access service across the health care facilities in the state.

He stated that,what informed the decision of the town hall meeting across the 3 Senatorial Zones of the state is for the beneficiaries to understand the scheme very well.

"This is an avenue for the beneficiaries to understand the scheme very well as we are getting a lot of feedback from the healthcare facilities, getting feedback from the enrollees on issues bordering around out of stock syndrome at health care facilities.

"Under the formal sector of the scheme,we have so far enrolled about 95 percent of our target population, presently at the moment,we have about one hundred and ninety thousand (190,000) beneficiaries under the formal sector,for us to achieve universal health care coverage in the state we need to also get more of informal sector population in to the state contributory health care system",said the ES YSCHMA.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
