13 settlements accessing child spacing services at Dikumari PHC

Over 70 percent of women who are mostly around the 13 settlements of Dikumari community in Damaturu Local government area are accessing to child birth spacing services in Dikumari healthcare facility monthly.

Healthcare facility in-charge dikumari primary health care Mrs Falmata Mohammed made this known Wednesday while briefing the Yobe state family planning media champion who visit the facility in order to find out some of the success stories, challenges on the  child birth spacing in the community.

She revealed that,the women who are mostly from settlements of dungali,anguwan Mallam Baba A,Mallam Baba B,anguwan Lamido,Sallare,Ihunka Banza,Abganistan,Bulabuli among others are appreciating the services and with the improvement of sensitization and health talk during ANC,Child immunisation the numbers of women accessing different services at the health facility has greatly improved.

Narrating how the health facility accessing the items giving to the Women for the FP services,the health facilitators revealed that, actually they are getting some of the  commodities from the state government,such as oral pills, injectable implanon ,IUCD as well as from save the children and Marie stopes are also supporting the programme.

While at Ngelzarma community of fune local government area of Yobe state,the state family planning media champion meets with a Community Health Extension Worker at Ngelzerma Primary Healthcare Service Centre,Mrs Harris Usman, revealed that women at the community a now receiving the child birth spacing services at the facility.She attributed the success to ongoing sensitisation being conducted at the facility.

One of the clients at Dikumari health facility,Habiba Usman who is 25 years and a mother of four (4) said,child spacing has lot of benefits."My husband gave me full support of this child birth spacing method."

A mother of 6 children from Ngelzarma community,Kellu Gana  appreciated the FP services stressed that she does gave specing of 4 years before getting another pregnancy."At least this can give to rest before getting another pregnant".

She called on the women at Ngelzarma community to embrace child birth spacing for there own good.

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
