Yobe Women Affairs Ministry partners NAWOJ to create better Society

The commissioner Yobe State  Ministry of Women Affairs has assured that the ministry will partner the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, (NAWOJ)Yobe State chapter in driving down to the grassroots the core mandate of the ministry.

The commissioner,Hajiya Ya Jalo Badama gave the assurance on Wednesday during a courtesy call paid on her by the EXCO members of the Association in the state.

She expressed delight over the visit and appreciated the group for the selfless service rendered towards the development of the state.

Ya Jalo stated that the mandate of the ministry was in line with the activity of the association,(NAWOJ) expressed optimism that they will work harmoniously together to achieve their common goal.

She assured them of the Ministry’s readiness to partner with them to ensure that the less privileged and disabled in the society are adequately taken care of across the 17 local government area of the state.

Earlier,the NAWOJ National trustees zone E,Hajiya Sa'adatu Maina who led the members of the association appreciated the Commissioner for giving them the opportunity to familiarize with the Ministry.

Sa'adatu however appealed for NAWOJ to be given the opportunity to partner with the Ministry to ensure that the activities and programmes of the State Government are promoted.

In her contribution,the Chairperson,Nigeria Association of Women Journalist (NAWOJ)Yobe state Chapter,Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Ahmed solicited for support to enable them carry out a sensitisation program on safety to women in the state.
