Yobe has lost an Elder Statesman-Gov.Buni

Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state, has received with sadness, the news of the passing away of a leader, elder statesman, and illustrous son of the state, Alh. Adamu Fika, the Wazirin Fika.

Buni described the death of the Wazirin Fika as a great national loss, and a loss with wide vaccum to his family, Fika Emirate, and Yobe state.

"We have lost a great leader, a wise counsellor, a pride of our state and a gentleman with passion for equity and social justice.

"The death of Alh. Adamu Fika has closed a door of consultation for our government and created a blockage to borrow from the wealth of experiences of an accomplished technocrat and seasoned administrator" Gov. Buni said.

"I wish to, on behalf of myself, the government and people of Yobe State express our heartfelt condolences to his family and Fika Emirate.

"I pray to almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings and grant his soul eternal rest in Aljannatur Firdaus.

"I also pray to almighty Allah to grant his family and Fika Emirate the fortitude to bear this huge and irreplaceable loss" Gov. Buni prayed

Buni attends Christmas Carol, pledges support for Christian fateful

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
