OPHK holds Quiz Competition for Public Schools in Yobe

As part of measures to further consolidate its corporate social responsibility and promote Non Kinetic approach in fighting Boko Haram insurgency, the Nigerian Army Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai has organized a quiz competition for students of six public schools across the three Senatorial districts of Yobe State.

The competition which was organized by the Nigerian Army in partnership with Yobe State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, took place at the examination hall of Government Girl's Unity College Damaturu.

The theater Commander, Sector 2 Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Hadin Kai, Major General M.L.D Saraso said,the competition was part of the Non Kinetic efforts of the theater Commander Operation Hadin Kai Major General Gold Chuibuzi towards winning the acts and mind of the citizens within the North East Region of the Country.

Represented by the Commander, Sector 2 Signal Brigade Colonel L.A Bello,the Commander Sector 2 noted that the motive behind organizing the competition is to strengthen vivil military relationship  and sustain the non- kinetic approach of eradicating Boko Haram Insurgency in the region.

He further explained that after the preliminary stage of the Competition, the best students will be selected and taken to the grand finale billed to hold in the next few days in Maiduguri.

In his keynote address,the  Commissioner Yobe State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Muhammad Sani Idriss, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Hamidu A.Alhaji said, the initiative will go a long way in complementing the efforts of the state government in reviving the standard education in the state.

Dr Idriss further revealed that, the present administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni remained committed to rescuing the education sector from decay hence the idea of declaration of state of emergency in the basic and Secondary education in the state.

He used the occasion and called on other organizations to emulate the Nigerian army for more success.
