S-Mahi Global Services Ltd Launches Nationwide Online Employment Platform to Tackle Unemployment in Nigeria



S-Mahi Global Services Ltd has officially launched a groundbreaking online employment platform designed to connect Nigerian job seekers with significant local and international opportunities. This initiative marks a strategic effort to combat unemployment by leveraging technology and a widespread agent network across the country.

The platform will establish a physical presence in all 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs), with six agents recruited per LGA to manage a dedicated website and provide direct support to community members. This structure ensures that job opportunities reach every corner of Nigeria, from urban centers to rural communities.

The platform is inclusive, offering registration to all qualified Nigerians from SSCE holders up to Professors. Successful applicants will be connected with top-tier companies, institutions, and NGOs both within Nigeria and abroad. An initial 4,644 job openings have been announced in the first phase, with more opportunities to be rolled out nationwide.

A key differentiator of this platform is its multi-tiered approach, seamlessly connecting job seekers at the community level with opportunities at the local, state, federal, and international levels. A dedicated mobile application designed to simplify the job search process will be officially launched soon at the International Conference Center (ICC), Abuja.

Eligibility and Registration:Eligibility:All Nigerians aged 18-35.

Minimum Qualification:
Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or higher.

Yobe L-PRES Project Hands Over Livestock Market to Geidam Community

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  The Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES), a World Bank-funded program, has commissioned and handed over a modern livestock market to the Geidam local government area of Yobe State.  The market, located at the Nigeria-Niger border, is expected to boost livestock trade between the two countries and create jobs. The market covers a 400m x 400m area, with features including perimeter fencing, gates, security outpost, veterinary clinic, administrative block, solar-powered boreholes, and drinking points. Other amenities include loading and off-loading ramps, toilets, and a livestock weighing scale.
