Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has commended the Biomedical Science Research and Training Center (BioRTC) for their dedication to addressing health challenges, particularly in identifying the causative agents of kidney issues in Yobe State.   The Governor made the commendation on Sunday during a courtesy visit paid to him by the 5th Summer School of the Biomedical Science Research and Training Center (BioRTC) at the Government House. Addressing a press briefing on Wednesday alongside key party stakeholders,the Director People Democratic Party (PDP)Support Group in Yobe state,Lawan Munkaila urged the party members to dismissed recent assertions by the ADC as falsehoods spread by desperate allies. Jubilation in Nguru as ARD, provides free Medication,Surgery to 2,500 Vulnerable

Aishatu Muhammadu, a 72 year old resident of Hausari in Nguru revealed since she was born, this is the first time she enjoyed free medication after Association of Resident Doctors(ARD), Federal Medical Centre Nguru in Yobe state provided free medical outreach to about 2,500 vulnerable persons in the local government area. The exercise is support by the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) is to ensure vulnerable persons do not die because of inaccessibility to healthcare. Yobe Launches Peace Dialogue to Resolve Farmer-Herder Clashes

The Yobe State Government convened a peace dialogue in Damaturu to address tensions between farmers and herders ahead of the critical rainy season. Organized by the Office of the Special Adviser on Security Matters to Governor Mai Mala Buni, the meeting aimed to prevent clashes and foster a conflict-free society. Herders during the meeting requested designated grazing routes to prevent cattle from straying onto farmland, a major conflict triger,advocated for a structured land allocation system to prevent arbitrary occupation,and a astronger action was urged against thieves stealing animals via motorcycles, especially on market days. On their parts, farmers at the meeting called for dedicated water points for herders' animals to reduce conflict among others issues. The dialogue also addressed the temporary closure of Buni-Yadi, Katarko, and Kukareta markets to thwart planned bomb explosions.
