A Promise Kept: Progressive Women Elegant Pledges Loyalty After Gov. Buni's Landmark Appointments

In a powerful display of political reciprocity, the Women Progressive Elegant Worldwide group has publicly hailed Governor Mai Mala Buni for fulfilling his campaign promise by integrating their members into key positions within his administration.

The group's celebration unfolded during a courtesy visit to the Government House in Damaturu, where they expressed their gratitude for what they termed a landmark inclusion drive.

"You have given us a seat at the table,” said Hajiya Khaltum Abdullahi Usman,the group's State Coordinator. 

She highlighted that their members have been appointed to strategic roles as advisors, liaison officers, and focal persons across the state. 

"These appointments are a testament to your commitment to recognizing the contributions of women. This is what recognition looks like."

Hajiya Usman further pledged the group's "unwavering support" for the present administration throughout its tenure, solidifying a partnership built on fulfilled promises.
Responding on behalf of Governor Buni,the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Idi Barde Gubana, acknowledged the vital role the women's group played in the electoral victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

“Such dedication rightly warrants special consideration,” the Deputy Governor stated, affirming the government's rationale for the strategic appointments.

Looking ahead,Alhaji Gubana assured the group of the government's ongoing partnership but also presented them with a crucial new mission.

He tasked them with leading a statewide awareness campaign to encourage women to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

9 Months After:5,029 Staff Fail to Submit Bio Data Forms in Yobe

Yusuf, Damaturu   A total of 5,029 out of 32,140 staff members in the Yobe State Government workforce have failed to submit their Bio Data forms nine months after the verification exercise in the state.   The Permanent Secretary of the Yobe State Public Service and Chairman of the Committee for the Generation of the Nominal Roll of Yobe State Civil Servants, Dr. Bukar Kilo, disclosed this on Wednesday while presenting the verification report to the State Head of Service, Alhaji Tonga Betara Bularafa.   He stated that 27,111 out of the 32,140 total workforce participated in the exercise, while 5,029 staff members failed to submit their Bio Data forms, raising concerns about the authenticity of the staff records.   To address this issue, the committee has proposed the establishment of a Verification Committee.  According to Dr. Kilo, "The Verification Committee will require all staff who failed to submit thei...
