Reps Member Hassan El Binjas distributes palliatives to Constituents

Yusuf A Yusuf The Member representing Bade/Jakusko Federal Constituency, Hassan Jakduwa El Binjas, has distributed food and non food items to vulnerable persons in his constituency in order to cushion the effect of high cost living. Flagging off the distribution of food and Non food items in Gashua,the headquarters of Bade local government area, El Binjas said that , the palliative distribution to his Constituents is meant to bring succour to the people in view of the economic hardship people are experiencing in the country. Represented by Mallam Salisu Jawi, he stated that,the palliative will be distributed across the 20 wards making the Bade /Jakusko Federal Constituency . Some of the beneficiaries who were overwhelmed with the gesture expressed gratitude to their representative and promised to utilize the items received judiciously . Gov Buni provides cash support to 1000 Orphans across Yobe

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu  Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni  has launched the distribution of N50,000 each as cash support to One Thousand orphans(1000) Across the 17 Local Government Areas of the state. Speaking during the cash support launching, Governor Buni said,this is an annual support programme initiated by the present administration in the state to support and give the orphans a sense of belonging especially during festivities. He stated that, Qur’an encouraged people to support and provide succour to orphans and the needy in the society. “I wish to commend individuals and organizations who have during this period of the holy month of Ramadan been providing food to the needy and other vulnerable persons, thereby complementing government efforts. W.H.O.Yobe Gov't integrate GBV,PRS into Meningitis response

By Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu The World Health Organisation (WHO) and Yobe state government with support from USAID/BHA (United States Agency for International Development/Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance) have integrated Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Preventing and Responding to Sexual Assault (PRS) into its Cerebrospinal Meningitis support in the state. Yusuf A Yusuf, Damaturu The World Health Organisation with support from the European Union has trained 240 Clinicians including Medical Doctors, Nurses, Midwives and Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs) on Basic Mental Healthcare in the 3 Northeastern states of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe. Red Cross embarks on diphtheria awareness campaign in Yobe

The Acting Secretary,Nigerian Red Cross Society,Yobe state Branch,Dr Sabo Saleh Dagona said,the purpose of the campaign with the stakeholders in the state is to create awareness among key stakeholders on the ongoing diphtheria sensitization campaign ongoing nation wide.
