Yobe AGILE,CSOs meets to address Girls Child Education Issues

Yobe State Adolescent Girls initiative for learning and empowerment (AGILE-AF) in partnership with Taimako Community Development Initiative (TCDI),and Women Empowerment Initiative has organized a one day workshop on girl Child Safe Space and life skills  programmes in Damaturu 

The Executive Director, Taimako Community Development Initiative(TCDI), Gambo Garba Muhammad pointing out that ,the inception workshop served as a platform for dialogue, collaboration,and strategic planning.

He noted that,it's also an opportunity for them to discuss the key components of the safe space and life skills program, align with their efforts and develop actionable strategies to ensure its successful implementation in the state.
In her remarks,the Executive Director, Child protection and Women Empowerment initiative (CPWEI), Maryam Hassan explained the project would be implemented by Taimako Community Development Initiative (TCDI).

She noted that,the workshop served as an avenue to discuss with the stakeholders on the entire life kills concept and have inputs for successful implementation in the state.
 
Speaking at the Programme,Yobe State Commissioner ministry for home affairs, information and culture,Abdullah Bego explained that ,the project will help the girl child in completing their secondary schools ann have useful skills.

Mr.Bego Commended Governor Mai Mala Buni for his effort in ensuring the actualization of the project in the state.He urged the implementers to ensure information and communication integral in the implementing of the project."This would go along way in mitigating misconception of the project by the society".

Earlier In his remarks,Yobe AGILE Project Coordinator, Abdullahi Dahiru revealed, AGILE a Yobe State Government Project supported by world bank with work plan designed by stakeholders from ministry of education and SUBEB among others.

He explained that,"the project is aimed to improve secondary education opportunities among girls in the targeted areas in the state ".
